Biography

Shubhankar Majumdar (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. in RF Microelectronics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, in 2016. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Visiting Faculty in Chip to System Design (C2SD) under the Special Manpower Development Program of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India, at the National Institute of Technology Raipur. In Dec 2017, he joined National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, where he works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

He has received five awards till date: Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence award from the European Commission, two postdoctoral scholarships from the Italian Government and the Government of India, and a fellowship for pursuing an M.Tech and PhD. Further, he is a mentor of a start-up Incubation company, SOIL Agritech Private Limited. He is a Principal Investigator of more than 10 International & National Sponsored Projects.

He is the author/co-author of several articles published in renowned journals, including Nature Scientific Reports, Elsevier Sustainable Cities and Society, Elsevier Structures, IEEE Sensors, IEEE Sensor Letters, Wiley RF, and microwave computer-aided engineering, Wiley Microwave, and optical technological letters, etc. six book chapters, several published IEEE conference proceedings papers, 1 granted Australian patent, and 1 granted Indian patent. He has given over twenty invited talks (excluding conference paper presentations). His research interests include GaN-based Power Amplifier Design, Device Circuit co-design framework, Semiconductor Device Modelling, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Automation of Devices, Circuits and Systems.

Dr. Majumdar has served as a Technical Program Committee Member at many international conferences, including the IEEE VDAT, the IEEE iSES, IEEE VLSIDCS, IEEE DeVIC. He serves as a Reviewer of several journals like IEEE TED, IEEE EDL, IEEE TDMR, IEEE MWCL, IEEE Access, IEEE TNano, Springer Journal of Computational Electronics, IET Electronics Letter,IET Micro & Nano Letters, Elsevier Superlattices and Microstructures, Elsevier Microelectronics Journal, Elsevier Vacuum, Wiley IJNM: Springer Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, Springer Silicon, Taylor and Francis The Imaging Science journal. He was enlisted in the Golden Reviewer List of IEEE TED 2020, 2021. He serves as Review Editor of Frontiers in Integrated Circuits and VLSI.
