Biography

Maria-Carmen Pantea is Professor in Social Work at ‘Babeș-Bolyai’ University, Romania.
Member of the EC Expert Group on Quality investment in education and training;
Member of the Advisory board of the EU-Council of Europe Pool of European Youth Researchers.
One of the two researchers contracted to support the EU Youth Dialogue as part of the German and the Portuguese EU Council Presidency (2020-2021).

Maria-Carmen regularly assesses for European programs related to research, education, non-formal learning and entrepreneurship (Horizon 2020, Marie Curie, Erasmus+, DG JUST, COST, DG-GROW, ESF etc) and holds coordination roles at major European conferences on youth.

PhD in Sociology (BBU), MA with Merit in Gender Studies (Central European University), MSc in Evidence-Based Social Interventions (Oxford).
