Dr Julie Abimanyi-Ochom is a Research Fellow at Deakin Health Economics. Julie is an early applied health economist with experience in economics of chronic diseases within the Australia and Sub-Saharan Africa context. Julie’s research also includes interventions for youth alcohol consumption, disability in older Australians and within the context of HIV/AIDS in Sub‐Saharan Africa. She has experience in costing and economic evaluation alongside randomised controlled trials in maternal and neonatal health, youth alcohol consumption programs and HIV/AIDS programs. Her work includes empirical analysis using econometric modelling using excel and STATA. Julie is involved in lecturing within the Deakin Master’s program of Health Economics and is the unit chair for Health Economics in an International Context.
