Biography

Born in La Plata, Argentina. Attended CNLP and Physics Department, graduated with Licenciatura Dec 1987, with Oreste Piro and Diego Gonzales advising on the Ms. C. Thesis.

Graduate student at the University of Chicago Dept of Physics, 09/1998-11/1991. Ph. D., dissertation "Structure and Dynamics of Cellular Patterns", graduate advisor Leo P. Kadanoff. Thesis honored with William Rayney Harper and Sydney Bloomenthal dissertations prizes at the UofC for best PhD thesis in the Physical Sciences Division and Physics Department respectively.

Postdoctoral Fellow 01/1992-11/1993, Rockefeller University and NEC Research Institute (joint), under Mitchell J. Feigenbaum (RU) and Albert Libchaber (NEC).

Faculty member and Head of Laboratory, Rockefeller University, 01/1992-present. Tenured 2003.

P3 Staff Member, Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, 07/2002-06/2003, on sabbatical from RU.
