Biography

I was born in 1957 in Donetsk region, Ukraine. After primary and secondary school I obtained a high educational level in the Experimental Nuclear Physics Department of Kharkiv State University in 1975-1981.
Area of my scientific interests:
1. Space study of near-Earth, solar, and interplanetary phenomena. Manifestations of solar activity in a wide range of electromagnetic waves and energies of corpuscular emission, Sun-Earth coupling. Dynamics of high-energy charged particles in the interplanetary space and the Earth’s magnetosphere.
2. Development of scientific instrumentation and parts for charged particle registration in space. Elaboration and tests of detectors and detecting modules on the base of semiconductor and scintillation detectors. Development of analogue processing units, mechanical constructions, and methods for testing device models.
My professional experience:
From 1984 to 1990 I was a Research Fellow at the Experimental Nuclear Physics Department of Kharkiv State University, Ukraine;
From 1990 to1996 I was a Senior Researcher at the Experimental Nuclear Physics Department of Kharkiv State University, Ukraine;
From 1996 to 2011 I was a Head of the Space Research Sector at the Experimental Nuclear Physics Department of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (former Kharkiv State University), Ukraine;
From 2012 to 2016 I was a Senior researcher at the Institute of Radio Astronomy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; and
from 2017 to the present I have been a Leading researcher at the Institute of Radio Astronomy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
from October 2022 to the present I have been a project manager simultaneously at the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In 1990 I defended my thesis and obtained a Diploma of Ph.D. in Physical and Mathematical Sciences on specialties: 1. Physics of Nuclei and Elementary Particles; 2. Physics and Chemistry of Plasma. Thesis title: “Influence of solar proton and ion fluxes on the disturbance of the sporadic radio emission bursts in the near-Earth space”.
In 2015 I defended my 2nd thesis and obtained a Diploma of Dr. Sci. in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, specialties: 1. Astrophysics, Radio Astronomy; 2. Remote-Controlled Aerospace Research. Thesis title: “Dynamics of radiation belts and noise radio emission in the near-Earth space as an indicator of the solar activity manifestation”.
In 2011-2012 I was a Grantee of Erasmus Mundus Action 2 LOT7 BMU (Belarus, Moldova. Ukraine) European Union Program. I obtained a Post-doctoral position at the Space Research Laboratory of Turku University., Finland.
