As Open Publishing and Copyright Librarian, Amanda supports Syracuse University Libraries and all departments and affiliates through reference consultation, instruction, collaborations, and workflows regarding open publishing, rights and permissions, copyright, and the institutional repository, SURFACE. Her work is highly collaborative. With a focus on research, scholarship, and curriculum needs, her role involves open-access, publishing workflows, grant and funder requirements, public access, rights complexities. Prior to joining Syracuse University Library, Amanda was a faculty member at Northern Kentucky University, where she led and managed the Extended Collections and Scholarly Communications units and held earlier roles at Harvard University. Her research interests include open culture, scholarly communications, society publishing, rights and permissions, licensing, scholarly impact, patient and disability rights and workplace culture.
