I am a computer scientist working on the use of climate information (climate forecasts, reanalysis, etc.) for applications in various sectors (mainly energy). During the Ph.D. my research involved the application of evolutionary computation and neural networks on engineering problems. From 2007 to 2010 I worked at the Energy Efficiency Department of ENEA (Italian Energy, New Technology and Environment Agency) and in 2011 I joined the Climate Modelling & Impact Laboratory in the same institution. Since March 2018 I am Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in the Netherlands.
My current research interests include statistical modelling applied to renewable energies with a focus on their connections with climate information.
