Biography

Zhi-Yuan Gu received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Nankai University, China (2006) and then conducted his postgraduate studies at the same university under the supervision of Prof. Xiu-Ping Yan. He received his PhD in Chemistry (2011) for the development of metal-organic frameworks (MOF) in high-resolution separation and bioanalytical applications. Then, Dr. Gu worked as a post-doctoral research associate in Prof. Hong-Cai Zhou’s group at Texas A&M University in catalysis and sensing. In 2014, Dr. Gu joined School of Chemistry and Materials Science in Nanjing Normal University as a professor. His research interests include but not limit to: • Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as catalysts • Nanosized MOFs, MOF membranes and composites of MOFs and other functional materials • MOFs for high-resolution separation with diverse chromatographic techniques • MOFs for biomedical applications, including proteomics and peptidome research
