Biography
I am a senior research fellow at IIT Roorkee, currently working on Tabish Khair’s novels for my doctoral thesis. My research primarily focuses on postcolonial studies, particularly concerning Muslims in India and the diaspora. As a research scholar, I have cultivated a profound understanding of language and literature. My academic journey began at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in English. Complementing my educational background, I also hold a full-time PG Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE) and a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, India.
Prior to embarking on my doctoral research, I served as an assistant academic manager at Ignis Careers, Hyderabad. In this role, I played a pivotal role in delivering impactful training services (ELT) to schools affiliated with CBSE and ICSE across East Odisha.
Fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Bhojpuri, my linguistic versatility reflects my passion for language teaching and learning. My scholarly pursuits encompass a diverse range of interests, including phonetics, modern English grammar, ELT, linguistics, and English literature.
Beyond academia, I find joy in travel and exploration, relishing opportunities to discover new places and cultures. With a steadfast commitment to my academic journey, I aspire to leverage my expertise and passion for language to become a university professor of English, contributing meaningfully to the field of education.
