Biography
Dr. Shi's research focuses on “Advanced & Sustainable Concrete Materials for Transportation Infrastructure” enabled by (I) Accelerated curing of cement-based materials for the production of precast elements [i.e., steam curing, CO2 curing, and direct electric curing]; (II) Key structural materials [e.g., steam-cured concrete, engineered/strain-hardening cementitious composites (ECC/SHCC), ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC), and self-healing concrete], (III) Repair material [e.g., magnesium phosphate cement, sulfoaluminate cement, alkali-activated materials (AAM), and cement emulsified asphalt mortar], and (Ⅳ) Eco-friendly concrete materials [e.g., low-carbon cement, reuse of C&D waste, and recycling of other solid waste (sludge and MSWIFA)].
