Biography

Martin Raspor's research focuses on the roles of plant hormones and nutrients, and their uptake and metabolism, in the regulation of plant responses to internal (plant growth and development) and external cues (biotic interactions and abiotic stress). These topics are gaining growing importance for global agriculture, especially in the Global South, due to issues such as overpopulation, climate change, land degradation, and the spread of plant pathogens, pests, and noxious weeds into new territories.
