Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nooredeen Abbas is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University where he got his B.SC. in chemistry (Special, Very good, Honour). He got his Ph.D., in Analytical Chemistry from Eötvös Loránd Scientific University, Budapest, Hungary. Since 1992, the major interest of Prof. Abbas was focused on the field of Electrochemical / Biochemical Sensors; when he established a Bio/Chemical Sensor group at NRC, Cairo. Prof. Abbas, with a Scopus h-index of 21, has published more than sixty papers. He was the P.I of many bilateral projects in the field of Sensor Technology with Purdue Univ. Indiana USA, Univ. of Minnesota, USA, Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France, and Univ. of Autonomy Barcelona, Spain. He was also the Egypt director of the NATO SFP project “Novel Electrochemical Nano-Sensors for Toxic Ions Detection” and Egypt -director of the European Commission project FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IRSE, “SMARTCANCERSENS”, “Micro/ Nanos sensors for early cancer warning system diagnostic and prognostic information”.
