Felipe Jiménez-Aspee was born in 1988 in Viña del Mar, Chile. He studied Chemistry and Pharmacy at Universidad de Valparaiso, Chile, where he graduated with honors in 2012. In 2012 he moved to Talca, Chile, where he worked on his PhD thesis under the supervision of Dr. Guillermo Schmeda-Hirschmann at the Natural Products Laboratory, Universidad de Talca. He completed his Ph.D. degree working in phenolic profiles and bioactivity of Chilean native fruits in 2016 and was appointed as Assistant Professor at Universidad de Talca in August of the same year. At this moment Felipe Jiménez-Aspee is lecturer of Pharmacology the Department of Basic Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Health at the same university. His current research is focused on the bioactivity of phenolic compounds from Chilean native fruits.
