Biography

Graduated in Pedagogy from the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Master and Doctorate in Education from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He is a professor in the Department of School Administration and Educational Planning (DAEPE / UFPE), he was the head of this department in the biennium 2014-2015. He is a permanent professor of the Post-Graduation Program in Education at UFPE, he coordinated this Program in the biennium 2016-2017. He was the state director of the National Association of Education Policy and Administration (ANPAE / PE) in the bienniums 2015-2016 and 2017-2018. He is a member of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPED). He has training and research experience in the area of ​​Educational Policy, with emphasis on the formulation, implementation and evaluation processes of educational policies, projects and programs, the following areas: the right to education, decentralization of educational policies, the State, federalism and collaboration in the management of education. His current research, entitled "Education and Poverty: Scaling Obstacles, Building Perspectives", seeks to map the situation of poverty and persistent social inequality in the public school in the state of Pernambuco, as well as the didactic-pedagogical experiences aimed at overcoming the current reality . He is the leader of the Research Group on Public Policies for Education and Coping with Social Inequality.
