Biography
Graduated in Pedagogy from the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Master and Doctorate in Education from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He is a professor in the Department of School Administration and Educational Planning (DAEPE / UFPE), he was the head of this department in the biennium 2014-2015. He is a permanent professor of the Post-Graduation Program in Education at UFPE, he coordinated this Program in the biennium 2016-2017. He was the state director of the National Association of Education Policy and Administration (ANPAE / PE) in the bienniums 2015-2016 and 2017-2018. He is a member of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPED). He has training and research experience in the area of Educational Policy, with emphasis on the formulation, implementation and evaluation processes of educational policies, projects and programs, the following areas: the right to education, decentralization of educational policies, the State, federalism and collaboration in the management of education. His current research, entitled "Education and Poverty: Scaling Obstacles, Building Perspectives", seeks to map the situation of poverty and persistent social inequality in the public school in the state of Pernambuco, as well as the didactic-pedagogical experiences aimed at overcoming the current reality . He is the leader of the Research Group on Public Policies for Education and Coping with Social Inequality.
