Biography
João Eduardo Martins is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve where he teaches undergraduate and master's courses in Sociology. Graduated in Sociology from the University of Évora. He completed his master's degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Universidade Nova de Lisboa in the specialty of “Educational Processes and Communities” and received his PhD in Sociology from that same University in the specialty of “Sociology of Culture, Knowledge and Education”. He also has a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management. His areas of scientific interest are the Political Sociology of Public Action, the Sociology of Education, Social Inequalities and Social Stratification, Work and Complex Organizations. He is an integrated member of CICS.NOVA - Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
