Biography

Albert C. Albina is an Associate Professor of philosophy at Negros Oriental State University Bayawan – Sta. Catalina Campus. He holds a degree in Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science which he obtained from Silliman University in 2016. He was a CHED grantee for his dissertation on positive thinking and the law of attraction. He finished his Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of San Carlos in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from University of San Jose–Recoletos in 2006. From 2013 up to 2018, he served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in NORSU Bayawan – Sta. Catalina Campus. At present, he is the Research Director of the said campus. Among his published research works include topics on Kantian moral philosophy, law of attraction, tracer study, licensure examination, and death and dying. He is also an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) under the Department of Science and Technology. He is the author of Beyond the Podium, and Beyond the Confines. Currently, he is serving as project leader of a DOST-NRCP-funded project titled “Funeral Tradition Alterations due to COVID-19 Pandemic Health Protocols among Urban Filipino Catholics in Central Visayas”.
