He started a 4 yr Post Doc at the Helsingor Marine Biological Laboratory (Denmark) in 2003, where he worked with Microsensors for Marine Biogeochemical Studies. In 2007, Dr Stahl took up a position as Lecturer in Marine Biogeochemistry at Scottish Association for Marine Science (Scotland), where he taught students in Marine Science as well as starting up several research projects about Anthropogenic Impacts on the Marine Environment. After 7 years in Scotland, he started as Associate Professor Environmental Science at Zayed University in 2014, where he taught students in Environmental Science and conducted research on local marine ecosystems in the Arabian Gulf. In 2023, Dr. Stahl took up the position as Dean for the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology at University of Khorfakkan, Sharjah, UAE.
During his career, Dr Stahl has had the opportunity to teach many different aspects of Environmental Science to a variety of both Undergraduate and Graduate students at 4 different universities in 4 different countries. By using a combination of blended learning techniques together with lots of enthusiasm, he strives to engage all his students and to maximize their learning experience and performance.
