Biography

I am a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Randall S. Johnson at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, investigating the role of cellular oxygen sensing in directing cellular metabolism and the resulting effects on epigenetics.
I completed my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Kevin L. Bennewith at the University of British Columbia while conducting my research at the British Columbia Cancer Research Institute, in Vancouver, Canada. My PhD work investigated solid tumour perfusion, tumour hypoxia, and the role of cancer associated fibroblasts in the development of tumour vascular dysfunction leading to perfusion-limited hypoxia.
