Biography

I received my Ph.D. in chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Yong Tang from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, where I have developed novel methodologies of synthesizing functionalized cyclopropanes, expoxides, and aziridines via ylide route in 2006. After that, I moved to United States and worked with Prof. Nathanael S. Gray as research fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, developing potent and selective kinase inhibitors, both as a tool compound for delineating kinase function and as a lead for drug development. Since 2012, I set up my research laboratory at school of life sciences, Xiamen University, CHINA. Our research is focused on development of small molecule modulators for targeting disease-related kinases and epigenetic enzymes. I have published 38 research papers including Nature, Cancer Cell, Nature Chemical Biology, J. Am. Chem. Soc., J. Med. Chem. and so on.
