Biography
Taliha Abiodun Folorunso is currently a faculty member at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Federal University of Technology,(FUT) Minna. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Control from the FUTMinna; a Master’s degree in Mechatronics and Automatic Control Engineering from the prestigious Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Malaysia; and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering in from the famous Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso. Before joining academia, Dr Folorunso had worked in various fields of engineering. Last was as a Quality Control Engineer with Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL). Dr Folorunso is a Research Fellow at the Advanced Engineering Innovation Research Group (AEIRG) where he majors in the field of Control, Robotics and Automation, Embedded Systems Development, Artificial Intelligence and as well as Precision Agriculture. He and his team members has also won many national and international grants for the Research Group. He has to his credit over 30 publications in both local and international peer reviewed journals, scientific conferences and book chapters. Dr Folorunso has participated in numerous training and certification programmes both in the industry and academia. Over the past 5 years, he has been actively involved in research and development, and Acadopreneurship. He is a registered COREN Engineer and a member of some professional associations such as the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM), International Register of certificated Auditor (IRCA), International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT). International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and lots more.
