Biography

I obtained my PhD in Optoelectronics whilst researching the applications of scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) to measuring optical properties waveguides. I then worked in the Terahertz (THz) group where I researched novel semiconductor antennas at THz frequencies and applications of Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) for THz amplification.

I now work in the optical engineering and quantum photonics group where my main research interest is in creating nonlinear waveguide devices for efficient nonlinear conversions.
