Biography

My research investigates the transformative potential of emerging digital technologies, such as language and vision AI and wearable sensors, to improve mental health. I am particularly interested in understanding the dynamics of emotions and behaviours over time, as they unfold in individuals' daily-life environments. Methodologically, I specialize in natural language processing techniques, including topic modeling and fine-tuning pre-trained language models to effectively classify text data.

I hold a PhD in Psychology from the Psychological Institute of the University of Zurich, where I examined the complex interplay between positive autobiographical memories and daily wellbeing. I am currently a visiting scientist at the Mental Health for All Lab at Harvard Medical School. In March 2025, I will join the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate in the MRC Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit's Digital Mental Health Group, where I will implement and fine-tune multimodal models - integrating large language and computer vision models - to investigate social media use in adolescence.
