Biography

J. Zakis (M’10 – SM’14) received B. Sc., M. Sc. and Dr. Sc. ing. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia, in 2002, 2004 and 2008, respectively. He is currently associate professor and senior researcher with the Institute of Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Energy in Riga Technical University. He is the co-author of more than 100 papers published in international journals and conference records as well as holder of several patents and utility model. His current research interests include modelling and simulation of power electronics for distributed power generation systems, energy storage applications as well as wireless power transfer systems for battery charging.
