Subrata Pan

Biography

Subrata Pan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Technology (IT), Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering. He received a B.E and M.Tech. Degrees in IT from the University of Burdwan, Rajbati, Burdwan, and the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. His research interests include various aspects of natural language processing, especially concerning part-of-speech tagging and multi-word expression recognition in Bengali text. He has authored over three journals and one book chapter. He has contributed as a reviewer for SCOPUS-indexed journals, including Springer Nature. Recently, he was honored with the C V Raman Prize from the Institute of Researchers, the Young Achiever Award from the Institute of Scholars, and the Research Excellence Award from the National Education Brilliance Award, Hypedge Media Group in 2024.
