Biography

Chris studied Developmental Biology (BSc Hons) and Pathology (PhD) at the University of Edinburgh, and continued his research in the ‘wet lab’ as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam. On returning to Scotland, Chris switch over to the ‘dry lab’ and pursued a career in 3D Imaging and Transcriptomics, which included a course in 3D Imaging and 3D Graphics at the prestigious Digital Design Studio of the Glasgow School of Art. Chris has worked as Senior Editor for the Edinburgh Mouse Atlas Project, and Deputy Senior Editor for the NIH/NIDDK-funded GUDMAP Project. In addition, for seven years Chris has worked as a Data Scientist for GigaScience Press, a position which included Data Management and Science Communication.
