Biography
Emanuele is a third-year joint PhD at MICC Lab, Florence (Italy), and at CVC, Barcelona (Spain). His research interests encompass multi-modal learning (vision and language integration), sensors, and robotic platforms, with a focus on multi-spectrum and multi-modal sensory data fusion. He won a two-year scholarship with NATO project SPS G-7563 for developing and researching solutions for landmine detection using robotics systems. He collaborated with USCND Lab and MICC Lab in Florence (Italy), as well as partners in F&M (USA), JUST (Jordan) and RE NASU (Ukrain). Throughout his academic career, Emanuele has made significant contributions as a first author to various conferences and journal articles. His works also cover a diverse range of topics, including document and table analysis, understanding comics and manga for visual impaired people, designing frameworks for reproducibility of experiments, and exploring multi-sensory data integration.
