Biography

M.Sc. in Architectural Engineering and Ph.D. in Study and Preservation of Archeological and Architectural Heritage, technological main course.
Formerly a collaborator at the University of Padua (Italy), involved in several European/Italian research projects focused on reduction of seismic vulnerability of existing buildings, including Cultural Heritage as well, through strengthening techniques mainly based on the use of composite materials with either organic (FRP) or inorganic matrices (FRCM/TRM).
Subsequently collaborator at the National Research Council of Italy - CNR (ICMATE Inst.), where he is presently working as researcher. His current research activities involve the physical-mechanical investigation of innovative binders (mainly geopolimeric), also embedding recycled aggregates from construction and demolition waste, to develop building materials, structural reinforcements with inorganic matrices, and architectural components for energy efficient buildings.
