Pau Miret-Gamundi is a researcher at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the UAB and in the Department of Social Sciences in the Catalonian Open University (UOC). He obtained a BSc in Sociology at UAB in 1989, a post-graduate diploma in Demography at CED in 1991, and a PhD in Sociology from Spain’s Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia in 2002. He has worked in the Cathie Marsch Centre for Census and Survey Research (Manchester, UK) and in the Department of Social Statistics at the University of Soutampton (UK). He was a Ramón y Cajal Fellow from 2005 to 2009 at the UAB’s Department of Geography. His main area of interest is the effect of education on family formation, labour force dynamics and migration.
