Biography
Dr. Ajay Singh Kushwah, a distinguished figure in the field of pharmacology, serves as a Professor and the Head of the Department of Pharmacology. Dr. Kushwah's educational journey includes earning a B. Pharm. degree from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, in 2003.He continued his academic pursuit by obtaining an M. Pharm. in Pharmacology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, in 2006. Later, he completed his PhD from I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University in Kapurthala, Punjab, in 2019. With a remarkable career spanning over 17 years in teaching and 14 years in research, Dr. Kushwah has made significant contributions to the field of pharmacology. He has provided guidance to a substantial number of students, supervising 42 Postgraduate, and 2 Doctoral projects.His research interests are diverse, covering areas such as cardiovascular research, endocrine disorders, psychiatric disorders, neuropharmacology, neurodegenerative disorders, and phytopharmacology. Dr. Kushwah's academic work is well-documented through numerous publications, including 15 at the national level and 22 at the international level. Additionally, he has actively participated in various national and international conferences and has presented 4 research papers. Dr. Ajay Singh Kushwah is also an accomplished author, having authored one book and contributed chapters to 5 others. His innovative contributions extend to the realm of patents and copyrights, with 11 Indian patents filed (9 granted), 1 South African patent granted, and published 5 copyrighted works. His dedication to academia has not gone unnoticed, as he has been honored with the Best Teacher Award in the years 2009 and 2016. Dr. Kushwah is a member of prestigious societies, including the Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association in New Delhi (IPGA) with membership number LM-6824. He is also associated with the Alcohol Free Society. Beyond his research and teaching, Dr. Ajay Singh Kushwah has played a pivotal role in securing research funding, including an AICTE-MODROB Project worth 11.16 lakh in 2020 and his involvement as a Co-Convener in the DST-FIST Project, amounting to Rs. 95.00 lakh in 2022. He is further recognized for his expertise, serving as a panel expert in the design of laboratories at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Skill Institute, Shri Chamkaur Sahib. Dr. Kushwah's contributions and accomplishments in the field of pharmacology continue to make a significant impact on both academia and research.
