Biography

Dr. Samad Khaksar, born in Sari, Iran, in 1981, is a distinguished organic chemist known for his significant contributions to the field. He earned his B.Sc. degree from the University of Mazandaran in 2004, followed by an M.Sc. from the University of Tarbiat Modares in 2006. In 2009, he completed his Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Tarbiat Modares University, mentored by Prof. Akbar Heydar.

Afterward, Dr. Khaksar joined the University of Groningen as a post-doctoral researcher in 2010. He was recognized as a superior researcher in 2011 and 2013 for his publications and projects, and in 2015, he received the same honor in the province of Mazandaran.

Currently, Dr. Khaksar is a professor at the University of Georgia in Tbilisi, leading the department of pharmaceutical chemistry. His research focuses on novel synthetic methods, macrocycles, metallodrugs, nanocatalysts, and drug design. With around 100 scientific publications and an h-index of 34, he is a prominent figure in the field of organic chemistry.
