Biography

Prof. Asamani is a health economist and a health systems expert with a focus on the health workforce, health planning and policy, and decision analytic modeling in health. He has published widely in those areas. He is a 2015 Commonwealth Scholar and holds postgraduate degrees in Health Economics and Health Policy (University of Birmingham, UK); Nursing and Healthcare Management (University of Ghana); and a Ph.D. in Health Sciences with Health Professions Education (North-West University, South Africa) where his research focused on development and application of a mathematical model on needs-based planning for health professionals in primary healthcare settings.
