Fernando Benito-Lopez studied chemistry at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and completed his master studies (Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry) in 2002. He obtained his PhD at the University of Twente, The Netherlands, in the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, under the supervision of Prof. David N.Reinhoudt in 2007. Fernando carried out his postdoctoral research in the group of Prof. Dermot Diamond at Dublin City University at CIBAS: Centre for BioAnalytical Sciences in Dublin, Ireland. From 2010-2012 he became Team Leader in polymer microfluidics at CLARITY: Centre for Sensor Web Technology in Dublin City University. From 2012-2015 he was Senior Scientist at CIC MICROGUNE, Spain. Fernando is currently a Research Fellow (Ramón y Cajal Fellow) at the University of the Basque Country were he has his group working in microfluidic technology.
