Biography
Inmaculada Mora Jiménez received the degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), and the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication from Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain). She is currently Full Professor in the School of Engineering at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain).
Her main research interests include image processing and computer vision, as well as statistical learning theory and artificial neural networks for knowledge extraction in different fields (mainly, in the health sector). She has published more than 120 papers in journals and conferences related to these areas (h-index 21 in Google Scholar - Aug 2023 - , more than 50 papers in JCR journals), leading 10 competitive research projects. She teaches in courses related to signal processing, machine learning and computer vision, having supervised more than 70 Final Degree Projects and 7 Doctoral Thesis (3 of them, awarded).
She is currently leading a Doctoral Program (awarded with the Spanish Quality Mention) in Rey Juan Carlos University, as well as a course on "Analysis of data and machine learning in the health sector", in collaboration of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy. From 2011 to 2020, she was the Deputy Director of International Relations and Postgraduate Studies in the School of Telecommunications Engineering, and from 2021 she is Academic Secretary in the International Doctorate School in Rey Juan Carlos University. She has also collaborated for 4 years (2016-2020) as a research expert on a regional agency for research projects funding in Spain.
