Laia Nadal Reixats received her PhD degree from the Signal Theory and Communications (TSC) Department of the University of Catalonia (UPC) in November 2014. She obtained the European Master of Research on Information and communication Technologies (MERIT) of the TSC department of the UPC in 2012. She obtained her MSc Telecommunication Engineering degree from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Telecomunicació de Barcelona (ETSETB)-UPC in July 2010. She was awarded with the FPI grant from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) in 2010.
She joined the CTTC in October 2010 in Communication Networks Division. In 2013, she was awarded with the short stay grant for predoctoral researchers-FPI. From May to August 2013 she was a Visiting Ph.D. Schoolar in ADVA Optical Networking (Germany). She has participated in several European and Spanish national projects (e.g., FARO, STRAUSS, IDEALIST). She currently is a Researcher of the Communication Networks Division.
Her research interests include signal processing and advance modulation formats for optical communication systems.
