Biography

Sara Rubinelli holds a degree in Classics and Philosophy from the Catholic University of Milan (I) and a PhD from the University of Leeds (UK) in the areas of argumentation theory, persuasion and rhetoric. She is Professor of Health Sciences with a focus on health communication at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine of the University of Lucerne. She is Dean Health Sciences of the Faculty and Director of the Institute of Health Sciences and Policy. Since September 2009 she leads the Person-Centered Healthcare/Health Communication Group at Swiss Paraplegic Research. Between 2017-2022 she was President of the International Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH). She is Scientific Consultant for the World Health Organization in the Rehabilitation 2030 alliance.
