Biography

Verónica Farreras is researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at National University of Cuyo, Argentina. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), her M.Sc. in Applied Economics from Autonomous University of Barcelona, and her First degree in Economics from National University of Cuyo (Argentina). She held research positions at Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia, University Institute of European Studies, and Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has participated in numerous international research projects such as FIRE PARADOX, NEEDS, VULCAN, and Housing Adaptations for Disabled Occupants. She has published in international peer refereed journals such as Ecological Applications, Forestry, The European Journal of Health Economics, Ecological Indicators, Tourism Economics, and Ecological Economics, among others.
