Sabina Jeschke is Head of the institute cluster IMA/ZLW & IfU at the RWTH Aachen University since 06/2009. She studied Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science at the TU Berlin and finished her PhD in Computer Sciences in 2004. Following a jun. prof. (2005-2007) at the TU Berlin, she became full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, heading the Central Information Technology Services (2007-2009). Selected research areas are: complex IT-systems (cloud computing, green IT & ET, semantic web services), robotics & automation (heterogeneous & cooperative robotics, web services for robotics), traffic & mobility (semi-/autonomous traffic systems, international logistics), virtual worlds for research (virtual & remote labs, intelligent assistants) and innovation & future research (empirical and IT-based analysis via Data Mining and Text Mining). She is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mech. Eng. and chair of the board of management of the VDI Aachen.
