Biography

I am Yassir Jewan, a researcher specializing in Agricultural Remote Sensing. I have completed my PhD and am actively engaged in research focused on applying remote sensing technology and machine learning techniques to agriculture. My expertise lies particularly in the monitoring and prediction of crop growth, yield, and quality, with a focus on broadacre and horticultural crops, including groundnuts and grapevines.

My research spans across various geographical locations such as Malaysia, Australia, and the United Kingdom, drawing on a diverse academic experience gained through previous collaborations between the University of Nottingham and The University of Adelaide. During my undergraduate studies at the University of Mauritius, I conducted significant research on mangrove forest mapping using geospatial techniques, laying the foundation for my interest in environmental monitoring and sustainable management.

As a researcher, I am committed to bridging the gap between advanced technological research and its practical application in agriculture. My work contributes to both the scientific community and the development of more efficient, sustainable agricultural systems globally.
