Biography

Daniel Salvador Cicerone holds a Licenciate 's degree in Oceanography with a focus on Marine Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional del Sur. He works at the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (Superior 1.1.1) where he serves as Manager of Environmental Management. His area is responsible for developing and implementing the Institution's Environmental Management System. He is an Associate Professor at the Instituto de Investigación e Ingeniería Ambiental of the Escuela de Hábitat y Sostenibilidad at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín. He coordinates the PhD program in Science and Technology with a specialization in Chemistry at this university. His interests include the mobilization of pollutants in natural systems, the assessment of water and soil quality, modeling and predicting the behavior and impact of pollutants in the environment, and the development and optimization of water purification technologies, effluent treatment, and industrial waste management.
