Ana Respício is an Assistant Professor at Departamento de Informática da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (www.di.fc.ul.pt) and a Senior Researcher at CMAF-CIO. She holds a degree in Statistics and Operations Research (U. Lisbon, 1989), a MSc degree in Operations Research and Systems Engineering (Technical U. of Lisbon, 1992) and a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research (U. Lisbon, 2003). She has published more than 50 refereed scientific papers and her research interests include decision support systems (theory and technologies), simulation, cybersecurity risk management, optimization, and metaheuristics. She is vice-chair of the IFIP Working Group 8.3 in Decision Support Systems, http://wg83.ifip.org, since 2014. She has participated in several R&D projects funded by Portuguese scientific agencies, the European Commission, international cooperation programs and cooperation with industry projects. She is task leader in the DiSIEM H2020 project (Diversity Enhancements for SIEM) http://disiem-project.eu/, and in the DoIT FCT project http://www.lasige.di.fc.ul.pt/Projects/doit (Decentralized Optimization in Sensor Networks). She is member of the ICT COST Action IC1406 - cHiPSet http://chipset-cost.eu/.
