Biography

Sedanur Baş has a bachelor's degree in mining engineering (2017) and master's degree in the field of mineral processing (2021) from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Muğla, Turkey. Upon completing her B.Sc., she worked as a mining engineer in quartz processing plants. In 2017, Mrs. Baş joined Coante Quartz Surfaces as an R&D engineer. She has more than four years of hands-on experience in the processing and production of quartz-based composite slabs, raw material and finished product quality control tests and mineral processing test works. In her master's thesis, she investigated the use of marble plant wastes in composite slab production, and the patenting process for the findings in her master's thesis is currently underway. She has been involved in different R&D and technical projects in related fields. She has attended several international conferences. Mrs. Baş co-authored 3 peer-reviewed scientific publications. She is a member of the chamber of mining engineers of Turkey.
