Robert A. Weigand, Ph.D., is Professor of Finance and Brenneman Professor of Business Strategy at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where he teaches Financial Management, Investments and Applied Portfolio Management. Professor Weigand is the author of Applied Equity Analysis and Portfolio Management (Wiley 2014) and over 45 scholarly articles and book chapters. His research has supported a variety of innovations in asset management, including 130/30 Funds and Russell Investment’s CrossVol Volatility Indexes. Dr. Weigand serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, as an Executive Panel Member for McKinsey Quarterly, and as managing editor of several journals, including Investment Management and Financial Innovations and Problems and Perspectives in Management. His blog, Financial Market Commentary, is syndicated by financial ￼ media outlets such as TalkMarkets, and has been recognized by Bisk Education’s CPA Review as a Top Accounting Education Resource and by Future Advisor as a Top Unbiased Blog. He has been a recipient of the Dicus Award for Excellence in Teaching (2010, 2016), the Kaw Valley Bank Award for Excellence in Research (2009, 2015), the Ned Fleming Award for Excellence in Teaching (2011), the A.
