Biography

I am a signal-processing research engineer, with focus on design and implementation of statistical-learning algorithms. I am currently with UCit (www.ucit.fr), where I design machine-learning algorithms to optimize High Performance Computing (HPC) systems. From April 2016 to Jan 2017, I was a postdoc researcher at Thales Research & Technology (France), supported by a Marie Curie Research Fellowship of the INFIERI network, where I designed algorithms for optimizing data transfer among computing devices like CPUs and GPUs. I earned a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, concluded in 2016. From April 2014 to May 2015 I was a visiting Ph.D. Researcher at the Chair for Media Technology of the Technical University Munich (LMT-TUM), Germany. My interests include signal processing, adaptive filtering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, stochastic processes, optimization, computer vision, applied mathematics, and high performance computing.
