Carol is a lecturer of the Construction and Project Management Discipline, School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Science and Engineering Faculty, Queensland University of Technology. Before joining the academia, she practiced in the quantity surveying profession. She has diversified research experience in construction management. Her research interests include:
construction safety and health
construction industry development
Carol has published a number of papers in top-tiered academic journals such as Safety Science, ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, and Facilities. Her doctoral research won two territory-wide best doctoral dissertation awards in Hong Kong:
* Champion- Construction Industry Council (CIC) Award (Doctoral Group) of the “Student Project Competition (SPC) 2011” organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) – Safety Specialist Committee (SSC).
* OSH Best Project Award for the Academic Year 2011 organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Council of Hong Kong.
