Biography
Dr. Sherly Meilianti, FRSS, FHEA, is a registered pharmacist in Indonesia and a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Applied Sciences and Public Health, Robert Gordon University. With over eight years of experience in health research and education, she specialises in pharmacy workforce development, competency frameworks, and advancing pharmacy practice globally.
Dr. Meilianti completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy at the UCL School of Pharmacy with distinction, followed by a PhD in Pharmacy Workforce Development at the UCL-FIP Collaborating Centre. Her doctoral research focused on developing an advanced competency framework for pharmacists in Indonesia.
She has held various leadership roles, including as the FIP Data and Intelligence Specialist, where she directed some multinational needs assessment and surveillance projects, oversaw the advancement of FIP ATLAS, and contributed to the editorial process of the Pharmacy Education Journal. Dr. Meilianti also served as the interim MSc Advanced Pharmacy Practice Programme Lead at UCL, overseeing programme development and ensuring quality education delivery.
Dr. Meilianti is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (FRSS) and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has been recognised for her contributions with awards such as Best Paper in the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy (2023). She is an accomplished author with 16 peer-reviewed publications and over 28 global reports. Her voluntary work includes serving as President of the FIP Young Pharmacists Group (2020) and a Steering Committee Member of the WHO GHWN Youth Hub, where she promotes youth-inclusive policies and develops advocacy toolkits for healthcare professionals.
