Biography

Veronica Ntsiea (née Mamabolo) is a Full Professor and Head of the physiotherapy department at the University of the Witwatersrand. She joined University of the Witwatersrand in 2001 as a coordinator of the new Diploma for Physiotherapy Technicians. Started teaching adult neurological rehabilitation on the physiotherapy undergraduate programme in 2003 and MSc Physiotherapy (Neurology) in 2006 to date. She coordinates both the undergraduate and postgraduate adult neurological rehabilitation courses and also coordinates the 4th year undergraduate management course. She supervises research projects (Undergraduate, Masters and PhD).

Her main research interest areas are stroke prevention and rehabilitation.

She also conducts research on impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions caused by various forms of central nervous system lesions.
