Biography

I completed my bachelor's degree in microbiology at the Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed Premier University, in Oujda, Morocco. I obtained a master's degree in Horticulture Engineering and Landscape from the Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed First University. Then I pursued a PhD in Microbial Biotechnology and Environment at the Faculty of Sciences, Moulay Ismaïl University, in Meknes, Morocco. In addition to my academic background, I have also participated in the Erasmus+ KA107 program at the University of Leon in Spain. During my time there, I had the opportunity to engage in studies and research related to microbial biofertilizer production and application. My interests lie in the field of microbial biotechnology and its applications in the environment. I particularly focused on studying the interactions between soil, microorganisms, and plants to enhance plant growth and stress resistance. My research aims to contribute to the development of sustainable agricultural practices and the promotion of healthy ecosystems.

Currently, I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the African Genome Center, engaged in a research project focused on deciphering microbial communities and their functional categories in the microbial gene pool within arid environments. My work involves investigating the diversity and dynamics of microorganisms in these challenging habitats.
