Biography

Tamar Rozett is a historian of technology and emotions in the modern British empire, focusing on the personal and interpersonal repercussions of everyday experiences in the nineteenth century, from mail deliveries to soaping. Upon completing her PhD dissertation at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tamar served as a guest scholar and lecturer at Duke University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of History at Tel Aviv University, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Haifa. She is set to join the Dan David Society of Fellows at Tel Aviv University for the years 2023-2025.
