Biography

Ph.D. Agata Ludera-Ruszel - Adjunct at Department of Law and Administration of University of Rzeszow and Judge Assistant in Appeal Court in Rzeszow. The Ph.D. from labour law has achieved at Polish Academy of Science in Warsaw. The Ph.D. thesis was devoted to vocational training of employees. Her Master degree thesis “The employment of members of a company management board on an employment contract basis” has won a third prize in the competition for the best master and doctoral thesis in the field of labour law and social policy, organized annually by the Institute of Labour and Social Affairs under the auspices of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. Agata Ludera-Ruszel is a member of Polish Association for Labour Law and Social Security (member organization of International Society for Labour Law and Social Security) and Labour Law Research Network. She has been a fellow of the Erasmus Scholarship and conducted lectures from labour law at: Cardenal Herrera-CEU University in Valencia in Spain (2012), Universitá degli Studi di Genova in Italy (2013), Vives University College in Kortrijk in Belgium (2013), Banku Augstskola School of Business and Finance in Riga in Latvia (2013), University degli studi di Genova (2014). She has carried out scientific internship at Université de Genéve in Switzerland (2014). In 2014 she has participated at the Seminar on International and Comparative Labour Law ”Fundamental Social Rights in the Age of Globalization” that has been hold in Venice in Italy. In 2015 and in 2016, as a Fellow of Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), hosting at Humboldt University of Berlin, where she has conducted her research on atypical forms of employment and lecures from labour law. In 2015 she was awarded by the Scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Outstanding Achievements For the Young Scholars. Since 2013 she has a classes in English for Erasmus students. She holds a position of a reviewer of several recignised peer-reviewed national and international journals. She is an reviewer of the National Centre for Research and Development. She was a member of scientific and organisational committee of national and international scientific conferences. Her research interests focuses on the area of employment relationship, especially on applications of fixed-term contract, protective function of labour law, protection against unfair dismissal, including differences between laws of particular European countries. The results of her studies has been presented on several national and international scientific conferences. She is an expert of the Polish Institute of Economic Thought in the area of labour law. She is fluent in English, including legal terminology, which is confirmed by FCE and TOLES certificate, and has an upper-intermediate German language skills.
