Biography
Assistant Professor at the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Topography, Geodesy, and Cartography at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid since 2024.
PhD in Sustainability and Urban Regeneration (2022), Architect (2017), graduate in Political Science and Administration (2015), and holder of a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning (2016).
My research focuses on conceptual and methodological developments to assess the impacts of phenomena such as extended urbanization, the functional integration of inter-urban systems, economic-territorial restructuring, the territorialization of socioeconomic frontiers and borders, and socio-spatial fractures, including residential segregation and inter-regional disparities.
I am the author of several articles, monographs, and contributions to scientific journals. My work has addressed topics related to urban vulnerability, the functional integration of urban areas, and socio-spatial cohesion. Alongside other members of GIAU+S, I participated in the 2011 edition of the Catalogue of Vulnerable Neighborhoods in Spain (2016-2020), explored the major challenges confronting metropolitan areas, and examined the functional reconfiguration of regional development in the Iberian Peninsula.
The central thesis guiding my research seeks to evaluate the operational consequences of the growing scalar decoupling between the biophysical-spatial reality of flows and the structures of administrative governance.
